VOICE THERAPY

Voice problems cause unwanted stress and anxiety, especially if you rely on your voice as the main tool of your trade.

Is your voice hoarse, scratchy, sore, tight, rough, gravelly, weak, breathy, fatigued or feeling constricted? Are your clearing your throat more often than normal?

These are common voice complaints that can be effectively treated by a speech pathologist who has a special interest and training in voice therapy.

VOCAL TRAINING & COACHING

Anyone who uses their voice as a ‘tool of their trade’ could benefit from vocal training or vocal coaching.

If you are a singer, podcaster, actor, teacher, salesperson, lawyer, personal trainer, hairdresser, radio announcer or auctioneer – vocal training is like an insurance policy for your career.

Vocal training is tailor-made to suit your individual needs and your profession.

ACCENT REDUCTION

Accent Reduction is a systematic approach that helps you to reduce or change your accent, or to adopt a new accent for whatever personal or professional motivation you may have.

Accent Reduction Therapy can sometimes be referred to as elocution, accent modification or accent neutralisation.

It involves teaching the sounds and patterns of a new or desired language.

SPEECH THERAPY

I have spent over 30 years helping people of all ages improve their ability to effectively communicate, be it through rectification of speech disorders, or simply improving the skills, competence and confidence with which they communicate.

My specific area of interest is in helping adults who may have language, speech or other challenges with general social skills.

    • I am one of those very rare and fortunate people who is passionate about my work. I began Vocal Impact with over 30 years of experience behind me so that I could enjoy working in my specific areas of interest: Voice and Accent Reduction.
    • I have worked as a Speech Pathologist in Australia, USA, and the UK and have travelled the world extensively. This is no doubt where my fascination with accents comes from.
    • I have completed post-graduate advanced training in Vocal Techniques such as the Jo Estill and VoiceCraft Methods as well as others. I  am a qualified Speech Language Pathologist and a Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia and The Australian Voice Association.
